Happy Friday

Happy Friday, Happy Friday!!! Josie and I are doing our happy song and dance this morning because the Scully's are on their waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay (insert Oprah's voice)! We are sooo excited and have lots of quality time planned together! Even though its going to be chilly, we are going to Boo at the Zoo tonight and going to pick pumpkins and apples on Saturday. We are going to cook, chat, and enjoy each others company, because we don't get to spend too much time together anymore. Life has been busy.

I am also excited because this means that Josie will be worn out! Not that she ever has a problem sleeping, but her new routine on Fridays, is being cranky, picky, crying, and not wanting me to put her down. So this way, the boys will keep her occupied and happy.

I was hoping that she would be walking by the weekend, but no go. She has gotten better and is much more interested now that Aunt Mary Ann and Uncle Jimmie got her a special walker for her birthday! She loves playing with it and we use it every night.

Back to the phone purge- lots of pictures from the last few weeks.... As you can see her favorite things are raiding our shoe closet, taking out all the Ziploc bags, and she grabs all the koozies from the lazy-susan, crawls over to the bottom drawer with the towels, and dumps them there!

someone got stuck in the house...

I gave in and gave her a snack pack...LOVED it

More happy memories to come after the weekend! Have a good one.
XOXO

Louisville Love

Well, we made it back in one piece that and is quite surprising! Not in a totally bad way, but we had the drive from hell on the way down. Thankfully, Josie didn't mind and was a trooper, however, on the way home, she was not happy and the drive seemed to take forever.

stopping for a snack on Saturday

Our trip started out by witnessing a huge accident on 315 N. Then the air conditioning in my car wasn't working, and the sun was beating down on us, so everyone was sweating to death. I left Josie's sweater on because I figured she'd be cold with the ac...wrong. After an hour and a half, I had to wake her up and take the sweater off, all while being stopped on 71 because every schmo in town was out and didn't know how to drive. We finally made it to cincy, and are driving along, then dead stop in KY because of another accident...see where I'm going with this. Get passed that accident and Josie is now up at this point, BUT we did get the ac working, thank god! Then we are about 20 minutes away from the house and again dead stop on 71...hating life, we go into the median and get off an exit before we are supposed too. Thank god Nick has a good sense of direction and can get places even if he's never driven there. Soooo we finally pull up to the house close to 5....we left at 12:20.

Hugs and kisses all around, then it was time for a brewski. Mama and Dada needed a cocktail after that trip! It took Josie a few minutes to warm up (and me about 20 to realize Jimmie shaved his mustache!), but once she felt comfortable, she was such a good girl and smiled, played and had a great time.

Of course Mary Ann made enough food for 20, so we sat down to eat and Josie stuffed her face. She will never turn down pasta! :)  I didn't give her any cannoli, so she had a graham cracker for dessert.

I'll never forget this...after dinner I could tell that Josie pooped her pants. Jimmie jumps up and announces he wants to change her. I figured it had been 25 years since he changed a diaper, so I'd help him out. He was all gun-ho, and pulled her diaper off, and goes, "God, you stink!". haaaaaaaaahahahahahah I started dying and immediately took away the diaper. He was so proud and came around the corner holding Josie, and I noticed something looked weird....her diaper was on backwards!

probably around midnight :)

Josie stayed up a little passed her bedtime to visit and we continued with our conversations and bottles of wine! Nick and I aren't used to staying up until 1 am drinking anymore, but we were having such a good time, we didn't want the night to end. Lots of old stories and wedding albums were shared.

Sunday was a long day since we were running on little sleep, and Nick and I were in bed by 9 pm- total old balls. We had the best time and cant wait to visit again soon! Hopefully the girls will be in town next time. :)

Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! This week went by fast surprisingly, I think its because when we get home, we are so busy until Josie goes to bed, and then days just fly by. Today Josie and I plan on hitting up the mall for some cute clothes and whatever else we might see. We are also headed to Louisville tomorrow to visit Aunt Mary Ann and Uncle Jimmie! We are soo excited and haven't seen them since last February! I pray Josie takes a nap in the car- we shall see though.

One

First things first....the end of the monthly photos. As you can see, Josie went out with a bang and didn't want some stinkin bear in her chair! She was wild all day on Sunday. I don't know if she is still on a sugar rush or just overly tired from all the excitement, but she didn't want to take a nap, and she was tearing into all her new toys and had a great time playing.

She grew so much the last month and I know its just going to continue from here on out. Right off the bat, she caught that nasty hand, foot and mouth virus. Once that ran its course she was much better and has been a wild woman ever since. She got two new teeth and started to pull herself up on furniture and can now stand in her crib, and hi-five! Lots of new foods which include- broccoli and cheese rice, strawberries, grilled cheese, chicken and dumplings, cereal bars, bagel bites, chicken parmesan, pumpkin pancakes, oatmeal, tater tots, chicken nuggets, and spaghetti o's.

We went to the doctor this morning and Dr. Niland was so happy with her progress and couldn't believe a year has already passed.
