Having a grand time...

We had fun taking pictures with my phone yesterday! No, I did not edit the photos with a cool blue hue. 

This is due to having green walls, an aqua onesie and shitty lighting- wonderful!

And finally- trying on some new pants! Cutest belly ever :)

Things have pretty much been status quo around here. Josie has been drooling, but its gotten much worse this week and I have a feeling that tooth is going to pop up any day now! Since the teething process has begun she has also had a diaper rash and major blowouts this week. Thankfully she is still eating OK and acting normal. They don't seem to bother her too much, although she has been waking up at 6 am every morning! Waaay too early girlfriend, you need to go back to sleep until 7.

She absolutely loves her new jumper/activity center as you can see. It definitely keeps her busy and its good exercise besides. I have tried sitting her up, we aren't there yet- she just dive bombs head first into the bed...soon I'm sure. Oh yea, and she found her feet this week! She is obsessed with looking down and touching them.

Side note- she had a massive blowout so bad this morning, I literally thought I was going to throw up. Worst.One.Yet. I don't think I'll be eating Freschetta pepperoni pizza ever again.

Survey Says...

Well, I tried both recipes yesterday and here are my thoughts... The garlic pasta was good- wasn't too garlicky, I actually think it could have used more, but it definitely needed some type of protein. Shrimp would have been perfect- noted for the next time.

Now on to the dessert. I think this would have been great had I not screwed it up. I obviously wasn't paying too much attention because I accidentally added the extra 1/4 of butter that was reserved for the topping into the filling! Sooooo I then added another 1/4 in the topping because that's what it called for after all! Yeaaaaaaa- I didn't think too much butter could be a bad thing, but it was. It tasted great, don't get me wrong, it's very similar to those Danish Butter cookies. I will try this again- next time it wont be butter overload!

My New Faves

So, you guys know that I'm always on the hunt for new recipes and ideas. I wanted to share with you my favorite recipes courtesy of Pinterest! Of course there is an obvious theme---Dessert... Probably because I  haven't made dinner in over 4 months- OK probably more like 9 months (thank you Nick!), so I always try and make a little something sweet for us to enjoy. On a side note- I had a  chance to read this book last week and its amazing! 

4 Months

Josie is 4 months today and man has she grown! This past month she hit so many milestones it was hard to keep up! As soon as I went back to work she started sleeping through the night ( thank you daughter), but of course my other daughter has been up every night struggling with her UTI- lets hope she's feeling better soon.

Anyway, Josie has turned into a bit of a wild ass- not gonna lie. Like any baby she loves to hear herself and has started to scream- literally scream in my ear and she thinks its just the funniest thing ever! Also, she can hold her head up on her own, she is rolling over- mostly stomach to back, and she's soooo close to rolling from her back to her stomach ( she gets stuck on her side). She loves to grab things and shove them in her mouth. She is drooling like a fool and I can see a little tooth bud getting ready to sprout (oh, boy!). She loves loves loves to laugh and is very ticklish on her thighs and belly. She loves to smile at mom and dad and enjoys spending time with us so much, she gets upset when we leave the room. Now, we have to strap her into the bouncy seat because a few times she's almost bounced herself right out of it! Yikes!

This past month also meant we had to get into a new routine. Thankfully, we have an easy baby and she took to it in no time. I get everything ready the night before ( I shower, get my clothes out, pack my lunch and pack her bag) so in the morning, I literally have to brush my teeth, wash my face, feed her and leave. As soon as I get home its a busy few hours with 2 feedings, a nap, making dinner, spending time with Nick and getting ready for the next day.

Today was her 4 month check up which also meant a second round of vaccines. Dr. Niland was very pleased with her height and weight stats and said that she "started out a bit rough" but has come a long way and looks fantastic. It's hard to believe that in only 6 weeks she will start eating fruits and veggies! Wow, how did that happen! Time is just a flying by and we are enjoying ever minute of it. Dr. Niland was also impressed with her motor skills and that she sleeps through the night.

We are so proud of our little girl and can't wait to see what the next month brings!
