Easter

OK, finally here are the Easter pics. I don't have a ton, but it was a busy weekend. Late Friday afternoon we went to Mansfield because it was Frankie's 3rd birthday. Keri and Frank had a big turnout and Josie enjoyed seeing so many new people and kids. She didn't play with anyone, but a nice change of pace.

I asked Frankie to take a pic with Josie

Becky and her baby girl Kayla were in town

compared to those two

On Easter morning, Grandma and Grandpa went to church, so Nick and I had a little Easter egg hunt set for Josie when she got up. She knew exactly what to do this time, and didn't open a single egg until she got to the few I put some goodies in.

Next Easter will be very interesting....we'll see if Josie wants to share with her baby sister.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! We have been really busy with a clingy toddler, other then that, things are going well.

I have a big work event tomorrow morning, so the three of us will be heading to the Zoo in the morning to join in the fun, and then enjoy the zoo after. That last time Josie was at the zoo was in October, so I think it will be a totally different experience for her. I am excited to see what she thinks.

We have started thinking about Josie's new room. I think I have the bedding picked out, so we will start moving forward with the rest of the room and all the details.

this is how she's fallen asleep the last few nights...

I am still feeling good and have more energy. Josie, Simba and I take a walk most nights if the weather is nice, and she LOVES to go in the stroller. I ask her if she wants to go on a "walk" and she runs to get her shoes and coat and heads for the door. Shes about as bad as Simba.
At my last appointment a few weeks ago I had only picked up about 5 lbs so far. I doubt that number is still holding, considering all the cake I've eaten in the last two weeks. We'll see.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Monday

I really forget what has happened in the last few weeks, so hopefully these pictures will jog my memory. I have been so busy at work, and then even more tied up when I get home. The blog has suffered a bit, but comes with having a toddler I guess.

doctor visit

So back to her doctor visit a week or so ago. Of course she checked out fine. Dr. Niland still cant believe how big she is and how she had "growth" issues in the beginning. I keep telling her that I'm worried about her eating, and she takes one look at Nick and I and said she didn't think we needed to worry, she was obviously gaining enough weight. We discussed potty training and moving to a big girl bed- so things we need to start thinking about in the next coming months. We did buy a potty and keep it in the downstairs bathroom. She likes to sit on it when we go potty and she will say "potty".

Here are her 18 mo stats:
Height- 34 in
Weight- 31 lb
Diaper Size- 5
Clothes Size- 18 mo-2T
Shoe Size- 6.5

Easter Egg Hunt

On Saturday, we headed to a local high school for an Easter egg hunt! It was such a beautiful day and we had the best time with Jen and her family. Thankfully they divided up sections for all the ages, so the little kids would have a chance at collecting some eggs. We lined up behind the flag and talked strategy with Josie for about 20 minutes before it began. She knows exactly what to do, she just takes her sweet ass time.

Only one parent was allowed in, so I let Nick have at it, and I took the pictures. We got over the first hurdle which was the "grass". She still hates grass and wont move an inch when you put her on it, so thankfully the field was turf and once she got over the "green" color, she was running around like a crazy woman.

She literally took two steps inside the flags, and thankfully there were enough eggs to go around. The entire event lasted about 5 minutes, no joke. There were over 16k eggs total and all the kids went nuts. She had to open each egg she picked up and inspect it before putting it in the basket. Nick was trying to get her to hurry, but that's not her style. Not that shes eating any of the candy anyway--hence why we are stuffing her eggs at home with Mini Nilla Wafers!
