Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! The sun is shining and its going to be a great weekend!

Sorry I didn't update throughout the week, I have been super busy at work and even more busy at home. Josie is constantly on the move and wants to be outside at all times, so that is what we've been doing.

Last Friday Jen was able to sneak a pony tail in her hair! She HATES anyone messing with the back of her neck and the hair in that area, so the top pony seemed to work just fine, and she kept saying, "pretty hair". I don't think it was so "pretty" when I removed the band before bed...

It's been super warm here and we don't really have any toys for the backyard, so after our bonnet shoot on Saturday, I bought a water table for the deck. She loves playing at Jen's, so we needed one as well. The only problem is we get so much sun on the deck and the umbrella really doesn't shield too much, so we have a very small space to stay in- she doesn't seem to mind.

apparently her OCD has started already-
thanks Nick :)

I tried to take a picture by herself- she got
really upset so we had to take one together

cheeeeeeese

I will have a bonnet update this weekend- waiting on one more group of pictures. They are to die for.

Have a great weekend! Enjoy the sunshine.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone!

Even though it was a short week, its seem to have gone by so slow. We had the best Memorial Day weekend and got a lot accomplished. Nick finished painting the furniture and painted half of her new room. So now, I need to pick out some hardware, finish her closet and then start decorating. I don't need much, a new mirror and a few prints, so happy its all coming together.

Josie and I have started a Friday tradition where we go out for ice cream. Unfortunately, I am the only one eating it, she likes to look around and stare at everyone. I try and go someplace different each week, and hope she will try something new. No dice yet, but we are working on it. Nick plays soccer Friday nights, so this is a nice little mommy/daughter date.

Saturday, we went shopping with Grandma and Grandpa at Easton and the weather was so beautiful. We had a great time and Josie was pooped after her long day.

Sunday night milkshake sharing with Dada

All weekend Josie slept in until about 8:30! It was so nice and she obviously needed the sleep. She still took naps during the day and went to bed on time- homegirl loves her sleep.

She has developed quite the personality and she cracks us up all the time. She is repeating everything ( even "stupid"- bad Dada!) and she gets SO excited when Nick walks into the room, gets home, or if she can hear him walking around- she screams "Dada" and points and gives him the biggest smile. Its just the cutest.

She is also saying lots and lots of words, she loves "stinky booty", "stinky", "boogie", "I want a snack", "milk", "outside" and she always says "out, please" when she is done eating and wants out of her high chair.

She has to wear a necklace every day and loves all the old buckeye ones I found in a drawer. She knows the names of all Jen's kids and can say them proudly, and she is still SOOO obsessed with shoes. She wants to wear them at all times, and wherever we go she has to point them out and yell, "shoes" or bring us a pair to put on.

If I get up and walk away from her all I hear is her yelling "Mommy, Mommy" just melts my heart. She is such a sweet thing. She is also getting pretty bossy and knows exactly what she wants. Last week she shoved me out of the way because I was standing beside her, pointed her finger at me and mumbled something underneath her breath. Let me tell you, if looks could kill, I wouldn't be here. Sassy.

a Mama and her babies

this lasted about 2 minutes

We have another bonnet session planned for tomorrow morning and cant wait! I know Colette will take some good pics, thankfully she's started to walk in the grass, because we are meeting at the park! She has a ton of new styles out, so we are excited to be a model again.

Have a great weekend!

We have a grass walker!

I know that sounds ridiculous and silly, but Josie started walking in the grass by herself this past week/weekend and its a big deal. We gave her so much praise, like we always do for all her accomplishments, big and small. For some reason she has been terrified of it- I think she thinks shes going to get swallowed up by the ground, or its going to hurt her. Whatever the reason, she has conquered her fear and will now go in the grass alone, retrieve balls, play, and chase Simba!

We are so proud!

looking for her friends next door

she was literally running by and said "cheeeeese" hahaha
such a ham.

Happy Friday

Annnnd we're back. I was planning on writing last weekend, but Nick worked Saturday and Sunday and I had a sick, needy baby on my hands. Poor Josie was miserable and hasn't slept well in over a week- and that's saying something. She had a fever all weekend, and wanted to be held at all times. She would wake up from such nightmares and in pain, she would scream in the middle of the night. Thankfully she is feeling better and is almost back to her old self. Last night was the first night she has slept soundly in a week. I can't imagine all of that was from ONE tooth coming in, but maybe. She wont let me look in her mouth to see if her 2yr molars are coming in. Just have to wait and see I guess.

Sunday nap with mom- had to make her get up
after 3.5 hours. She was not a happy camper

We did head to the Franklin Park Conservatory for the butterfly exhibit on Saturday with Jen and her family. Nick was gone, it was raining, so we needed to get out of the house and she wasn't feeling too terrible at that point. We hand-made a few things and saw some pretty butterflies.
