Monty Photo Shoot

Here are my favorite shots from our session with Monty. We had 88 amazing pictures to choose from and I finally narrowed it down to 10. We are so lucky to have such an amazing, creative, funny photographer who captures all of our special moments. Next stop, 1 yr smash cake session and Colleen's wedding in Asheville!

10 Months

Ummm, didn't I just write her 9 month review??? Only two more months, and our little girl is officially not a baby. *tear*  This month has literally flown by and we have been busy almost every weekend. Josie had a very big month and I know she is loving her new found freedom and is getting into everything. Just today, she figured out how to pull open the cabinets. Although, she was in her walker and kept trying to open the cabinets, but couldn't because she was blocking the way, so she just continually slammed it. Shades of things to come.

Now that she can sit up and crawl, she is all over her crib, jacking around when she should be sleeping. Don't get me wrong, she is still a great sleeper, but sometimes it takes her a lot longer to go to sleep, because she is sooooo excited and exploring her crib.

At the beginning of the month, she started eating yogurt for breakfast and absolutely loves it! Blueberry is her favorite, and she also eats vanilla and peach. She started eating table food, and slowly but surely she has gotten the hang of it. She has had cheerios, apple puffs, sweet potato puffs, pieces of banana, hummus, scrambled eggs, peaches, pears, peas, and of course dinner with us most nights.

Other firsts were: took her first long car ride to visit family in NY, started to crawl, sits up in her crib, visited baby Moritz, has a new baby cousin, and she recently started waving Hi and Bye! She will wave to herself in the mirror every time, but takes a bit to wave to others.

Life just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter :)

Happy Friday

So, something has changed with Josie and I'm not sure I like it! Ever since she started to crawl, she thinks she's hot shit and can now have an attitude! I don't think so sister. This last week I think the "Terrible 10's" have started, not the Terrible 2's. She is almost 10 months and the attitude has sprung- we can't take away toys, tell her no, or take our time feeding her (which is nothing new). She gets super mad because she now knows what she wants, and wants it NOWWWW. I need to record her getting mad because its really really funny, I just laugh at her. The other day I tried to take away a toy, and she just swung her arms at me and almost hit me in the face- case in point. 

Even though she has a tude, she is still eating with us most nights and this week she had her first pasta dish! Daddy was so proud that she liked pasta, and she absolutely LOVED it. Last night she had lemon risotto and loved it as well.

Baby Filled Weekend

On Friday, Josie and I ran to Mansfield to meet miss Chloe! Well, I went to the hospital, and she stayed at Grandma's to eat her snack and take a nap. I still cant get over how small Chloe is, she was light as a feather, and didn't make a peep while I held her. She must have known that her favorite Aunt was in the room :).

We introduced Josie to magazines this weekend, and to say she was obsessed is an understatement. She LOVED ripping all the pages out and throwing them all over the floor.

Saturday, we finally headed to Cincinnati to meet Patrick Joseph! We were so excited, and apparently Josie was as well, because she didn't sleep at all. Well, I take that back..she fell asleep for 30 mins after we changed her diaper because she crapped her pants. Joy. She was a good girl, and played by herself for a bit, and then I introduced her to the baby and she as all about him. Trying to pet him, or slap him, however you want to look at it. Overall, she was good, but was definitely more fussy than normal because she had been up since 10:30. 

Liz looked amazing for only being 3 weeks postpartum, and Joseph is the master swaddler, and has even changed a few diapers (with assistance) :).
