Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! Sorry for the lack of posting this week, I've been sick and not really felt like writing to be honest.

So, where to begin. Lots going on this week and last weekend, despite Josie and I being less than 100%.
Friday I got a new car. Yup, you read that right. It was time to trade-in big red. My car started having issues this summer/fall and we wanted to take advantage of the 0% financing and year end models needing to be sold, so we went out on Friday and bought a new car. It was really sad to see the Tahoe go. I've had it for 9 years and had a lot of memories while driving it, so a little bittersweet. BUT I am loving my newer posh ride.

saying bye to big red

Last Saturday we went to Easton and met Grandma and Grandpa for some lunch and shopping. Apparently everyone in Columbus had the same idea because it was freaking packed. Nevertheless, Josie got a few new outfits and ate some yummy mac and cheese. She missed her afternoon nap with all the excitement and immediately passed out on the way home.

in the garage- still passed out

Josie has been a busy girl this past week. She is getting into everything and really showing an interest in walking- FINALLY. She likes to do it on HER OWN, and will not be forced or helped in any way. She has really been working hard at taking her steps. She goes from the couch, to the end table, to the chair, and then around the footstool- that is her course. Then all of a sudden, she stood up by herself and started to walk. It was so exciting!

Lots of other cute videos to share.

This is from last weekend- cracks me up.
Obviously not tired

After Josie eats her dinner, we are usually still eating, so she has started going over to Nick every night and checking out his bowl/plate. She wont dare try anything, but likes to snoop around. Also, when I pick her up from Jen's she is usually playing and not paying attention, but once she sees me, she throws her toys across the room and comes crawling- its so precious. She still loves to pet Simba and basically puts up with everything. OH, and she has popped another molar and has two other teeth coming in. Lots of changes in one week....

We don't really have plans for the weekend, October was so incredibly busy, so we are liking the downtime. I would LOVE to start decorating for the holidays but Nick wont allow it. Cant even listen to Christmas carols until after Thanksgiving- what a scrooge. I cant wait to start new traditions with Josie and start putting our mark on the holiday season. Maybe we'll start by making some pumpkin bars or cookies this weekend....we shall see.

Have a great weekend everyone!
xoxo

Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! Another quick post today, we have lots to do. Josie was so happy to be home this week and has been such a good girl. She pooped a molar so she's been a little uncomfortable, but still smiling.

I don't have too many photos this week, but here are the few that I managed to take. She is trying to repeat everything we say, especially when she wakes up in the morning. She is saying, "hi, toes, tickle-tickle, shoes, sock and dog. I think there are a few more, but we have to listen really closely.

She is still not interested in walking- apparently she plans on crawling until she's 2. She likes to walk with her walker, pull up on everything and balance herself, but once we start to try and help her take a step, she flips out and throws herself on the ground. Not interested.

bubble fun

my to-do list today....

she did not want to get up this morning

Have a good weekend everyone! We are finally taking it easy and getting some things done around the house. Thank god, I feel like we are in an episode of hoarders- there is shit everywhere.

Wedding Weekend

Here is a quick wedding weekend wrap-up. We had a great time celebrating Colleen and Paul and the setting was amazing. It was a little chilly (to be expected in the mountains), but when the sun came out, and the wind died down, it was amazing.

We left Thursday night and drove half way. The weather was really shitty and we made it to Beckley, WV. Definitely not a place I would like to call home, but they had a taco bell and I got a b-e-a-n burrito and it was the size of my fist. Pathetic. Thankfully we were only sleeping there and got up and on the road early the next day.

I knew Asheville was going to be a hippie town, but I didn't realize HOW hippie. It smelled like patchouli and b.o, but it made for great people watching, and the food and booze was amazing. We ate at the Tupelo Honey cafe- I had shrimp and grits, nick had a black bean burger, and they made the best blueberry jam I've ever had.

After rehearsal we met up with friends that had just got to town. XU girls reunion!!

mon-tay even met us!

We stayed out way past out bedtime and made it home around 1:30. I knew we had a long day planned on Saturday and I didn't want to ruin Colleens photos with bags under my eyes. The weather was on and off all day- the sun would come out and then go away, then it would start raining and stop. But by ceremony time, thankfully the rain stopped. Nick enjoyed his free day with some hiking, city exploring and he found a great bar with good food.

Didn't you know I was a sister wife??

And of course an update on Miss. Josie. She was a good girl and loved spending time with grandma, grandpa and Frankie. Here are the photos from her big weekend away.

as good as it gets for Halloween-

We had a great time in NC, but are glad to be home with our little love.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! Nick and I are driving to Asheville, NC as you read this, and have left Josie for the first time all weekend! We are a little sad and excited to be leaving her. I know its better for her to be away from us once in awhile, and with the wedding and so much going on, it would have been a disaster bringing her...so she is hanging with Grandma, Grandpa, Keri, Frank, Frankie and the dogs this weekend.

Josie has been a little fussy this week. I think she is getting some new teeth- her nose has been running and she is a little clingy. But she has also been playful and loving as well.

my all time favorite- make sure your volume is turned up

loves giving her doggie hugs

PS- it looks like "Riley"  is taking a dump...
or scooting her ass :)

obviously not upset about leaving me

I have been running around like a crazy person- nothing like leaving things to the last minute. Such as dress alterations. Thank god this woman could do my dress in 2 days. OH, and now that I'm an Instagram junkie, and spend my time stalking the lives of my friends and celebrities, I did come across this person. Humans of NY  go check it out. I love reading about all the different people in the world (NY), what they are going through. Their hopes, dreams, struggles, and stories. Its truly amazing, and wow, do I live in a tiny bubble.

I know we will get lots of updates and pictures from Grandma this weekend, and we can't wait to celebrate Colleen and Paul as well!

Have a great weekend everyone!
xoxo
