Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! Thank god this work week is over, can't wait to spend more time with crazy Josie and Nick this weekend.

There have been a few new developments over the last week. Josie is staying up later these days. I always put her to bed at 8, but she would jack around in her crib until 9ish, so I recently started taking her up closer to 8:30 and that has seemed to help. We have been against her watching tv from the get go, but cant keep her away forever. Soooo now we watch two shows from 8-8:30 at night and she totally loves it. She sits and watches like a big girl, and will get up and dance to the music. Then of course I have those damn songs replaying in my mind all night and day, but totally worth it.

table water is gooooooood

Last Saturday we went to Cosi Science Museum downtown. Josie has never been and we wanted to get out of the house- needless to say she LOVED it. Of course the kitchen area was her favorite part- she absolutely loves all of our pots and pans, kitchen utensils and loves to say "cook Dada". She didn't really pay too much attention to any other kids. A few girls tried to talk to her, but she would just play alone. It was so nice to watch her explore by herself and be so independent. I didn't take a picture of her in the water area, but of course she loved that we well. I had to tell her we needed to go eat lunch and that was the only way we could get her to leave.

piggies!!!

they gave out free hard hats
she's been wearing hers all week

lil hipster shirt

poo poo got his summer cut

Another big thing this week is we had Jen start putting her on a big girl cot for nap time. I knew we needed to start soon so she's good and transferred before the baby comes, but it was so sad to see this picture. Not in a bad way, but our little baby is growing up. Soon, she will be in her big girl bed at home and we'll be putting another baby in the crib- still doesn't seem real at this point.

excited for the USA game!

I ask her now if she wants "piggies" in her hair

Josie is really coming along with her vocabulary and is repeating strings of words at this point she said her first sentence yesterday- "Sit down Londyn, put on shoes". So proud. She is learning her colors and can repeat some of the alphabet. Her favorite expressions right now are "ewww yuckies", "sit down Mama", "stinky feet" and "help Mama" and "hot", everything is "hot". She will try and take a bite or put her finger in her food and tell me its hot, blow on it and then move on to something else on her plate so it can cool down. She's too funny. Oh, and she handed me a booger last week.

On a pregnancy note- I am almost 31 weeks..where has the time gone. Things are going well. I'm feeling good, just starting to get tired and a little big to bend over and do certain things. Other than that- moving right along.

Have a great weekend.

pretty much sums it up

Mini Update

Sorry for the lack of posting, I have been super busy and not really felt like updating. We are busy outside and doing all kinds of activities, so such is the way things go.

We had a nice Father's Day weekend. Saturday we went to Mansfield for the afternoon and Sunday we hung around the house and tried to make Nick feel extra special. Of course the World Cup t-shirt I bought didn't fit, and the peanut butter pie was waaaaaaaaaay to rich, but dinner was great, the jar of extra chunky peanut butter is already gone, and Josie and I made the best card ever.

one of my favorite pictures

Of course we have been watching the world cup every minute and Josie is really getting in to the spirit! She wears her USA shirt on game days, says "kick balls" when she sees the games on, and likes to cheer now!

More to come later this week...

Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone!

Not a lot to report this week, but we are closing in on finally finishing Josie's new room. Frank and Keri stopped by on Sunday and helped put her shelves up, I found some nice curtains, so now I just need some decorations. It's all coming together and I hope she loves it.

finally turned her car seat around
she kept saying "out" because she
didn't like her new view

Saturday fun

Frankie kept saying he wanted to go
play with all those toys

I had a nap visitor on Sunday

she likes to pretend she's working like Dada

looking at me

This is their new night time ritual-
she comes up to Nick and says "a wee"

I do have one big story from this week and of course it happened when Nick was working late. Wednesday was bath night, and I thought to myself..."hmmm she hasn't pooped in the bathtub yet, I wonder when that will happen? I bet its a night that Nick is gone." And then out of no where a huge turd flies out of her ass. Neither of us knew what happened and it didn't register with her what it was, so it started floating around and coming towards her, so she started saying, "ewwww yuckies, OUT!" hahaha she wanted out immediately, I don't blame her. I got everything cleaned up and bleached down, because of course all her toys were still in the water...Then we went downstairs for some cookies and back up for bed, but she wouldn't walk past the bathroom and didn't want to go anywhere near the door. I really hope this doesn't set our new bath time fun back a few steps, because I can actually put her in there without me and she has a great time.

Also when you ask Josie what her name is, she will say "Josie" and "Sorry" is a big thing now. Anytime she bumps into us or does something, she says "sorry" its so cute. She has also taken the place of Riley and is our new "bunny watcher" She looks for then on our walks every night, and in the yard as well. She loves to shout "bunny" when she sees them.

Speaking of bunnies- Simba ate another bunny this week, ON TOP OF eating all our leftover baked ziti Sunday night when we were out for ice cream. He hate a half a pound of pasta and cheese. Needless to say he was miserable the entire night and I didn't feel bad for him one bit. Nick and I couldn't do anything but laugh, but damn we were pissed. That was going to be leftovers one night, and my lunch one day. Damn dog.

It's been wild in the Sarli house. Happy Father's Day weekend! :) Josie and I have a few special things planned for Dada on Sunday.

UB2 Photo Shoot

After we got back from Florida in March, I contacted Colette and shared some of our pictures on the beach. She loved that we were still rocking the bonnet a year later, and noticed that it was now too small for her. So we set up another session, this time in Columbus and had a great day!

We met at Schiller Park, which is down the street from where we got married. I wish it weren't so expensive to live in that area, or we would probably move. It was a little warm, but Josie had such a great time just walking around and taking in the scenery. There were so many dogs and ducks running around, she loved talking to them and one little puppy even came up and gave her kisses.

We modeled three bonnets this time and Colette sent us home with two. After the shoot, Josie and I went to lunch and had a blast. She is cracking me up these days, and is such a chatty cathy.

All of the pictures are amazing, but here are my favorites from each look. Of course she had to keep her necklace on- she wears on everyday.

Happy Friday

Happy Friday everyone! The sun is shining and its going to be a great weekend!

Sorry I didn't update throughout the week, I have been super busy at work and even more busy at home. Josie is constantly on the move and wants to be outside at all times, so that is what we've been doing.

Last Friday Jen was able to sneak a pony tail in her hair! She HATES anyone messing with the back of her neck and the hair in that area, so the top pony seemed to work just fine, and she kept saying, "pretty hair". I don't think it was so "pretty" when I removed the band before bed...

It's been super warm here and we don't really have any toys for the backyard, so after our bonnet shoot on Saturday, I bought a water table for the deck. She loves playing at Jen's, so we needed one as well. The only problem is we get so much sun on the deck and the umbrella really doesn't shield too much, so we have a very small space to stay in- she doesn't seem to mind.

apparently her OCD has started already-
thanks Nick :)

snoozin

I tried to take a picture by herself- she got
really upset so we had to take one together

cheeeeeeese

I will have a bonnet update this weekend- waiting on one more group of pictures. They are to die for.

Have a great weekend! Enjoy the sunshine.
